Hello and welcome. Denise Schenk has been providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples and various groups since 1994.  She is a licensed professional counselor (LPC), a Certified Addictions Counselor  (CAC III), trained in EMDR level II and a Hakomi graduate.

Denise received her Bachelors of Arts in psychology from the University of Colorado and a Masters of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Antioch New England Graduate School and is a graduate of the Hakomi Institute in Boulder, Colorado.

Over the years, she has worked in a variety of settings including: crisis programs and community outreach, outpatient mental health agencies, a college campus, public schools, facilitating specialty workshops and retreats, with probation and drug courts and residential treatment facilities.  

Denise's private practice was founded in 2001 and continues to evolve along with her professional growth and areas of interest.

Denise currently lives, plays and works in Durango, Colorado with her beloved husband and two children.

In her free time she enjoys yoga, gardening, cooking, reading, the smell of fresh sage brush after it rains, music, spending time with friends and family and anything outdoors.
